Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees and houseplants, along with soil, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries usually grow part of their own stock and carry varieties suited to the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Plant shops focus on houseplants, succulents and orchids, often with repotting help. Greenhouses and growers sell seedlings and bedding plants in spring, and many offer wholesale prices to landscapers. Landscape designers plan planting beds, patios and irrigation, and some garden centers offer design and installation services as well.

Framingham is in Massachusetts, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Framingham is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Massachusetts's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Been going to Fran's since the days they were set up in the parking lot of Building 19. After another temporary spot in the movie theater parking lot they finally have what looks to be a semi permanent location. Always loved the selection and service. Great for flowers and veggie garden stuff.

My favorite small mom and pop garden center to visit. Same long term friendly staff and the best prices and quality. If you are in the area shopping definately a nice place to visit to complete your shopping trip.

We stopped into this plant and flower shop for help with creating winter-themed planters, and it could not have gone better. We met the owner, who was incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely passionate about his work. He took the time to walk us through all the different options, explained what would thrive in the colder months, and helped us pick pick perfect options for a beautiful winter display. Need inspo check out his work while you walk around. So important to support small business!

Franβs always has a great selection of beautiful and healthy plants, I have shopped for all my seasonal plantings here for the last two years - Fran and his team are always so kind and helpful. Always love the quality of how my containers turn out with his inventory !

Fran's was a long-time fixture outside Building #19, on Rt 27 in Natick. With the renovation of that shopping center, they have moved near the SE corner of Shopper's World. It's very easy to find them when travelling westbound on Rt 9, but it can be a bit tricky finding them from inside Shopper's World itself - but they're well worth seeking out. Super friendly service, great products. FYI - they are what I would call more of a garden center with a small amount of terrific produce (plus the very thoughtful presence of a container to shuck your corn into, when it's in season) - not a place to order a bouquet for a wedding or a funeral. But, if you need something to plant in your garden, or a decorative basket, Fran's is the place to go.
